My lovely, lovely seat pad arrived a short while ago this morning.

After looking at Mr Big Ears on my very empty calendar this month it feels so exciting to feel his fleece. I really feel overwhelmed, it’s a beautiful thing and I am so pleased with it. Following you on Instagram and reading how much work goes into producing your living rugs, I think I have a bargain. My seat pad is such a good size and although your photographs are very appealing, Mr. Big E’s fleece is even lovelier in real life. The enclosed cards and photos are also so beautiful!

I really admire your work and it’s great to feel connected to your fortunate sheep in a small way.

I am so pleased with my seat pad and thinking about it’s history adds to it so much. I will always feel connected to Mr. Big Ears now. I will treasure it, alongside the Gotland wall hanging my son gave me. Oh I do love sheep :)

Thank you so much to both of you for all the hard work in producing such gorgeous items, we are thrilled with them, they are just stunning. Thank you also for the lovely cards which was an unexpected surprise, they are beautiful. It is a lovely thought to add a photo of Noddy with his message on, I found this very touching. The rugs will be treasured and we feel it is a real privilege to own Noddy's rugs and are happy to know that he will continue to live a safe and happy life with you and his sheepy friends.

"The whole parcel was such an exciting and wonderful surprise"

I’ve just opened it and am just so so delighted.

I have wanted one of these for such a long time and I am absolutely thrilled. Thank you also for the picture of Ziggy - I will be framing that and putting it up near the rug. I will for sure be thinking of him every time I enjoy his lovely fleece. It’s lovely to be able to relish the gorgeous fur knowing that he wasn’t hurt in the process.

Thanks for the cards too. The whole parcel was such an exciting and wonderful surprise and treat which was especially good at the moment. It really felt like Christmas.

You are doing something really fantastic and I’m so grateful for your idea and work in producing this. I will treasure it and hope that I will be able to find another one from you before too long.

"I was keen to acquire a piece of their story and her work..."

I started following The Living Rug Company on Instagram having being drawn in by the incredible images that Deborah portrays each day of her flock - it's all about her flock! Her care and love for her sheep shine through - a shepherdess with a great ethos. She has so many different breeds and as each sheep is given their own name you get to know them. I was keen to acquire a piece of their story and her work...

Deborah hand creates each rug/throw using the fleece and hand felts the backing,

making each piece individual and unique... So many choices and all made to a very high standard.

I chose a Valais Blacknose (from Poppet!), which now sits perfectly on a window seat. The fleece is beautifully soft and remains true to the characteristics of the sheep with gorgeous loose curls! Deborah added a black felt backing which ties in nicely with the overall colouring of the Valais Blacknose.

A great work of art and having met Poppet a rather lovely memento of such a gorgeous sheep...

"I'd give six stars if I could"

I'm so thrilled with my "Ian" rug ... I love the look of it, the feel of it and even the smell of it! Thank you for the little tour yesterday, that was so interesting ... though Ian's customer-focus skills could use a little improvement, as the best view of him was his fluffy bottom disappearing into the fog! A wonderful product, story and ethics. I'd give six stars if I could.

"I don’t normally write such emails but wanted to say how very pleased I am with my rug".

Just a quick email to say my rug from Gilmore arrived today which was very quick as I only placed my order on Sunday.

I don’t normally write such emails but wanted to say how very pleased I am with my rug. It is even better than the picture and is very soft to the touch. The natural shades of the fleece fit perfectly with my decor.

I have been considering a sheepskin rug for some time but didn’t like the idea of the ‘skin’. I saw an article about your rugs in Country Living magazine and went straight on line. What a brilliant idea to felt the fleece. Please keep up your good work and I wish you every success in the future.

"When I received the rug I couldn’t have been happier with it, it is beautiful"

I chose Blacky’s fleece for my living rug because I loved the dusky grey-brown colouring which is very similar to our stone walls. When I received the rug I couldn’t have been happier with it, it is beautiful. A really good size and gorgeously thick and curly in the most mellow tones. Aside from the obvious welfare benefits of these living rugs (which is what caused me to make this choice in the first place), the rug itself is so vastly superior to a sheepskin rug in terms of its luxurious look and feel. Can’t recommend highly enough and great admiration for the care and work that goes into looking after the living rug flock. Feel very lucky to now own such a rug. Thank you The Living Rug Co. and Blacky!

I would like to thank you for the lovely living rug that arrived this morning, I was so surprised as I only ordered it yesterday!!

I read your article in The Country Living magazine and was inspired, I went straight onto the website to see the many different items, I loved all the different colours of the fleeces of your character full sheep

When I saw there where only two left to select from to buy, I knew I had to move fast!

I decided on Mona as her fleece was the right size and colour to fit over my foot stool

When I was unpacking it this morning, my husband came into the room with the usual male comment "what you been buying now!" But when it was laid over the stool he agreed how wonderful it looked. Phew!!

I bought a rug, grown by Giles, a wonderful Gotland sheep from The Living Rug company. The rug is gorgeous, the photo online was identical in colour to the real thing. The quality is superb, it's soft and so tactile and a joy to look at. The fleece is backed onto felt, which has been done by hand, I appreciate the rug all the more for it.

It's such wonderful quality and even more gorgeous than in the photos - plus it was posted incredibly quickly and packaged beautifully. I'm already eyeing up others...they could become an addiction!
